Hey, g'day, mabuhay, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte!

Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point.

Where and how you can work

Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a campus in Melbourne and co-working spaces in Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. But you have choice in where and how you work, we trust our Canvanauts to choose the balance that empowers them and their team to achieve their goals.

About the Group

This role supports our Print Group (approximately 100+ employees), in Canva’s Growth SuperGroup (400+ employees). Growth focuses on ensuring Canva meets or exceeds our foundational commercial goals, like monthly active users and revenue. Print is our ecommerce platform that empowers individuals, businesses and education users to create beautiful content, then print it on a physical good - like a sweater, coffee mug or poster. Print is a company priority with ambitious goals for growth this year!

As an Operations Business Partner (Ops BP) within Print, you’ll be a member of Growth’s Strategy & Operations team. This team drives all operations within Growth, spanning US, Australia, Europe and beyond. Each Strategy & Operations team member focuses on a different area of Growth. Your focus will be Print Group operations.

About the role

This role is a 12 month Fixed-Term-Contract covering parental leave.

Your mission as an Ops BP is to support Print leadership, drive key strategic conversations, coordinate special projects and drive them to unilateral success by coordinating and communicating between key project owners. Working with Print leadership, you’ll be the organizer and look after all things operations for the Print group. You’ll also act as a strategic partner to Print Leadership, understanding and contributing to strategy definition, then proactively identifying the steps needed to operationalise delivery.

At the moment, this role is focused on:

  • Owning all Print Group operations end-to-end: You take charge and ensure we have built cadences and administrative infrastructure that are essential to building operational excellence and achieving our goals. You’ll drive tracking initiatives, run half yearly strategic planning, assist with company-wide product development adherences and constantly iterate on this as Canva grows. You’ll also coordinate and facilitate key leadership meetings, defining objectives, purpose and agendas, and constantly looking for ways to improve Group operational cadences. You’ll be the point person for Print for any company wide events or celebrations.
  • Communicating optimally & driving team cadences: You’ll be the glue that keeps the Print Group connected, facilitating strong relationships, ensuring all relevant teams and partners are up to date and working efficiently. By ensuring the group adheres to best practices for communication, documentation & wider context sharing, you’ll create clarity, surface concerns early, and help the team stay focused on their goals. You’ll own and facilitate key group cadences and internal communications, as well as organising and content wrangling for events, including Print Show & Tells to Company Goal operations, and support MBR/QBR development.
  • Proactively driving initiatives forward: You will keep our strategic goal programs on track by coordinating and tracking timelines, milestones, and statuses, calling out issues as needed. Able to work across big picture initiatives with the ability to break assignments down into manageable efforts and ensure they are able to be tracked and delivered.
  • Being an active contributor to Growth operations: You’ll be a key member of our Growth Operations team, partnering with other OpsBPs to ensure consistency, coordination and operational excellence across Growth. Sometimes other Groups in Growth may require a hand or have similar needs - in which case you offer to lean in and help!
  • Forecasting and predicting emerging opportunities: In time, and working with the group Leadership you will forecast and anticipate emerging opportunities across the group, and preemptively work on solutions, constantly looking for areas to improve.
