Job Summary:
The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers, and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 700 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, childcare, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.
The Cybersecurity Intern will gain experience in a fast paced, dynamic organization where they can learn basic security analysis skills and potentially play an even greater role in an organization whose mission is to protect the legislative process from all actors – from malware as a service to nation state sponsored attackers.
Over the course of your internship, you will be working alongside industry experts learning their daily activities and what it means to work in Cybersecurity for the House of Representatives. This would be accomplished through participating in an internal rotation shadowing Cyber staff in their various roles.
** This is a full-time internship, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
The candidate will work with the House Office of Cybersecurity staff perform their various functions. Specifically, the intern will assist the various Cyber groups execute their individual goals in support of the larger cyber mission, to protect the House.
