UX Specialist - 3 Month Contract

The UX Specialist will lead all user-centred research and early-stage UX design for our Cloud MVP and future platform iterations. This role is essential for understanding client workflows, documenting insights, and validating initial design concepts. These findings will then guide our UI Designer in creating high-quality, user-friendly designs.


What You'll Be Doing
  • User Research & Workflow Mapping
  • Conduct user research, including interviews, shadowing, and surveys, with select clients and internal teams to understand workflows, pain points, and feature requirements
  • Document and analyze key outcomes needed for our customers and design efficient, flexible and consistent workflows to achieve them
  • Build consistent UI patterns for repeatable/common workflows
  • Low-Fidelity Wireframing & UX Prototyping
  • Create initial wireframes for core user workflows
  • Iterate and improve designs based on user feedback from usability testing
  • Work closely with the UI Designer, providing a comprehensive UX brief that outlines findings, priorities, and design goals
  • Usability Testing & Data Synthesis
  • Conduct usability testing sessions with clients to validate design decisions
  • Document findings and provide structured feedback for continued improvements post-MVP
  • MVP Requirements Documentation
  • Provide a comprehensive report on user insights and functional requirements, as well as recommended UX patterns for both the MVP and the follow-up rebuild phases


What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years in UX design, particularly with SaaS platforms or enterprise applications
  • Experience with platform redesigns and MVP development is highly preferred
  • Skilled in user research methodologies, including interviews, usability testing, and workflow mapping
  • Proficiency in wireframing tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD)
  • Strong communicator and team player, able to work closely with cross-functional teams and a dedicated UI Designer
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments and iterative development cycles
  • Proven experience with WCAG guidelines
