Director of Product - Retail Media

Carwow is on a mission to become the ultimate online destination for car buying and selling, with our group brands attracting over 120 million visitors this year. Beyond helping consumers find their next car or sell their current one, we’re creating a cutting-edge retail media network that connects car manufacturers and dealer partners with high-intent, in-market audiences. Our ambitions are bold and far-reaching as we look to scale and grow our best-in-class retail media proposition.

This role is central  to our ambitious media revenue growth targets with it leading the development of and optimisation of innovative advertising products and platforms. 

Success will see us delivering scalable and impactful ad solutions including native retail media products, Sponsored Ads, and Media Placements, whilst striking the perfect balance between revenue growth and delivering an exceptional user and partner experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ad Product strategy: Define the vision and roadmap for advertising products, such native retail media ad products as well as  Sponsored Ads and Media Placements, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer needs.
  • Revenue growth: Develop and implement new products and advertising to drive OEM and Carwow Studios' revenue growth, delivering scalable and high-performing media offerings.
  • Platform optimisation: Work closely with engineering teams to improve targeting precision, and ensure accurate performance measurement.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Partner with Commercial, Marketing, and Analytics teams to ensure ad products meet market demands, provide measurable value, and exceed client expectations.
  • Data-driven insights: Use analytics and performance data to optimize ad products and uncover new opportunities for monetization.
  • Regulatory compliance and Market Innovation: Ensure all advertising products comply with privacy regulations, marketplace policies, and industry standards. Actively monitor developments in the retail media sector and adjacent industries to identify trends, innovations, and opportunities. Leverage these insights to influence the development of new, category-specific products that drive growth and competitive advantage.
