Mental Health Specialist

Make a difference every day by joining CCRES as a Mental Health Specialist / MHS in the morning ATTEND program!

SUMMARY:

  • The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) is an independent contract position working early morning hours during the school week
  • Location: New Hope-Solebury School District in New Hope, PA
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-7:30am

RATE:

  • Pay for independent contract work is $75.00/hr

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monday - Friday, 1 hour/day during the school week to provide services in the home setting before school hours to help an individual transition from home to school day
  • Services will be provided for an extended period of weeks or months
  • Work with school aged students with emotional or behavioral needs
  • Transportation from the client's home to school may be required
  • No services are provided if there is no school
  • Transfer coping skills and interventions to parent/caregiver

EDUCATION / EXEPRIENCE:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university in a mental health / human service study such as Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Education, etc.
  • Additional 6 months work experience providing clinical therapy in an individual, family, or group format - preferred.
  • Documented training and experience in positive behavior supports, team coordination, agency collaboration, applied and cognitive behavioral counseling

CREDENTIALS:
(Clearances current within 12 months)

  • PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
  • PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
  • PA Department of Education FBI -- Use code 1KG6XN
  • TB Screening (current within 3 months)
  • Education Documentation - diploma OR official transcripts from graduate program
  • Professional Liability Insurance

The Mental Health Specialist / MHS is an independent contract (1099) position. No benefits are associated with this role.
