Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior SEC Reporting & Technical Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background and will assist in preparing the 10-Q/K, coordinate quarterly close activities and assist with various financial analyses. This individual will interface extensively with the general ledger team, the regional accounting teams, the legal department and both the internal & external auditors. In addition, the Senior SEC Reporting Accountant participates in any ad hoc projects and the implementation of any process/system improvements. The Senior SEC Reporting and Technical Accountant is further responsible for assisting in complex technical accounting matters. This role also prepares cash flow statements, supports the consolidation process, and performs research on emerging technical accounting topics to ensure compliance with evolving standards.

Role Type: Full-Time, In-Office

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA Qualified preferred
• 4 years in audit and/or technical accounting experience
• Public accounting experience (Big 4 preferred), including experience auditing public companies
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on diverse matters
• Ability to effectively build and maintain strong relationships with external and internal parties
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of Workiva is a plus

Responsibilities

• Supports SEC reporting requirements by assisting in the preparation and coordination of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q), compiling supporting schedules and disclosures in adherence to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors on various 10-Q and 10-K supporting schedules.
• Prepare interim and annual disclosure checklists and supplemental schedules to ensure compliance with requirements
• Assist in reviewing contracts for ASC 606 implications to ensure accurate revenue recognition and the reclassification of SG&A expenses to contra revenue.
• Prepares the quarterly going concern memo in accordance with internal controls and disclosure requirements.
• Conducts the annual goodwill analysis to evaluate impairment and ensure that the goodwill and intangible asset balances reflect current economic conditions.
• Assists in the consolidation process for multiple entities, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
• Prepares and performs variance analysis on cash flow statements to accurately reflect operating, investing, and financing activities.
• Conducts research on emerging technical accounting topics (e.g., ASC 842, ASC 718) to ensure compliance with evolving standards, and documents findings accordingly.
• Supports the ASC 805 accounting for business combinations.
• Participates in ad hoc projects and contributes to process and system improvements.
• Stays updated with changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements and communicates findings to management.

The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. This position may be eligible for other compensation, including bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (subject to company plans).
