Compliance Specialist

Description

 

Celtic Property Management is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our corporate team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our properties remain in full compliance with federal, state, and local affordable housing regulations, including LIHTC, HUD, and Section 8 programs.


As a Compliance Specialist, you will serve as a vital link between our corporate compliance team and on-site property staff providing support, conducting audits, training teams, and ensuring all resident files and certifications meet regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits of resident files to ensure compliance with affordable housing programs
     
  • Support properties with timely completion of move-ins, annual and interim recertifications
     
  • Monitor regulatory changes and update internal processes accordingly
     
  • Provide training and guidance to on-site teams regarding compliance procedures
     
  • Assist in preparing for and responding to third-party and agency audits
     
  • Travel between properties as needed

Requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in affordable housing compliance (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8)
     
  • Strong working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and affordable housing regulations
     
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
     
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines across multiple properties
     
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
     
  • Yardi experience is a plus
     
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for site visits
