Front End Software Engineer

Our daily IPv4 scans alongside the world’s largest SSL/TLS Certificate database enables customers with the most accurate and continuously updated map of the internet at any given moment in time. Enterprise security teams leverage Censys to keep pace with the speed of their business and gain an advantage on the rapidly evolving cyber-attack threats.

Role Summary:

Censys is seeking a Front End Engineer to join the Risks Team to develop risk workflows in the Attack Surface Management product. You will further enable Censys customers to quickly investigate, triage, and remediate risks of various types such as unnecessary exposed services and vulnerable assets. Your work will help make the internet a safer place.

Role Responsibilities:

• Plan user-facing features with engineering, product, and design teams.
• Build well tested front end components (Typescript and React).
• Work with designers and the Censys design system to create robust user experiences.
• Integrate with existing backend APIs.
• Build, test, deploy, and monitor code automatically.
• Work in iterative development cycles.
• Investigate how we can provide actionable insights for users based on our world-class data.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of professional experience building web applications, APIs, and frontends
• Expertise with a common web programming language (e.g. TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Golang, or Java)
• Expertise with at least one frontend web framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, or Next)
• Experience with SQL, to retrieve and manipulate stored data
• Code organization for testability and maintainability
• Thrive in a fast paced startup environment where changes happen quickly.
• Can contribute to our culture of learning. Take ownership of issues, admit mistakes, and work to improve over time.
• Make informed decisions by combining empirical evidence with domain expertise and good judgment.
• Operate and contribute effectively as part of a team where we work together to solve problems
• Must be a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to other engineers, designers, solutions engineers, PMs, and content marketers is no problem for you.

Our target salary range for this role is between $95,000 USD and $155,000 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.
