About CIR
The Centre for Information Resilience (CIR) is an independent organisation dedicated to exposing human rights violations and threats to democracy. We achieve this through open source research, digital investigations, capacity-building with local partners, and collaboration with media to amplify our impact.
CIR was born out of a determination to expose those spreading harm – online and offline – around the world, particularly in areas of violent conflict, such as Ukraine, Sudan and Myanmar. Our projects are at the forefront of efforts to investigate and document human rights abuses, war crimes, harms targeting women and minorities, and influence operations. We work closely with multilateral and national justice accountability bodies.

Contract Type: Contractor
Contract length: The position is a consultancy role for 6 months. It will start on 03 January 2025 and is due to end on 31 July 2025. This role could continue beyond this date depending on performance and project need.

About the Project
Because of project sensitivity, only limited information can be released about the detail of this project at this stage of recruitment and further information will be provided to those shortlisted for interview. This project sits within our Resilience strand of CIR and seeks to counter disinformation across a number of focus countries through a project team of globally-based experts and a supply chain of specialist partners.
This role will sit in the Project Management Team which oversees the delivery of project objectives through the Research and Insights and Comms & Engagement Teams.
About the Role
The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for engaging our existing partners and ensure compliance with CIR and donors’ standards. They will also plan, implement, and optimise supply chain strategies for the next year to improve efficiency and security, and ensure timely delivery of services. The position will also play a vital role in supplier management, logistics coordination, and risk mitigation.

Working Arrangements:
This role is to be based in the UK.
The Supply Chain Specialist will report into the Project Manager. The expected input is 5 days per week (8hrs workday), which can be worked flexibly outside of the hours of 11:00 – 15:00 GMT to ensure substantial overlap with the team.
The Supply Chain Specialist is expected to make themselves available for core meetings, training sessions etc, as agreed in advance. To note that some out of hours working may be required to accommodate time differences between international staff and partners, although this will be minimised as far as possible.
