At CESO, a Plumbing Project Designer I is responsible for performing technical assignments for small to large projects, completing all tasks on a project on time, on budget, and consistently within industry standards with little to no oversight. You will have primary responsibilities that include:

Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for project design under the supervision of the Engineer of Record from concept through completion
Perform calculations and design engineering systems in collaboration with internal staff
Prepare intermediate to advanced system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and schedules
Review shop drawings and equipment submittals for conformance to plan documents and project specifications
Prepare and modify studies, plans, reports, specifications, and designs for projects as directed
Apply local, state, and federal regulations
Adapt engineering information, codes, and standards into the project designs
Visit project sites to verify existing conditions and/or observe construction progress
Communicate design requirements with architects, contractors, and equipment manufacturer representatives to determine project scope and feasibility
Support engineers and project managers in daily planning, coordination, and completion of projects
Attend internal and external meetings
Other project duties as assigned

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college and 5+ years of relevant experience or 7+ years of relevant design experience
Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and certification as an EIT with a state licensure board preferred
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in engineering design, AEC industry, codes, and standards
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Revu, Revit, Microsoft Office Suite, and other industry software
