College degree is required, preferably in a related field (Communications, Sports Administration or English).

The selected individual will have strong writing and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of athletic sport programs, and an aptitude and willingness to learn desktop publishing and statcrew software.

The Charlotte 49ers are seeking a highly-motivated, organized individual to serve an internship in the area of Athletic Media Relations for the 2023 – 2024 academic year. UNC Charlotte is located in a campus setting in northeast Charlotte. The university is a member of NCAA Division I and sponsors 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women.

The individual chosen will serve as the media contact for sports as assigned by the Associate Athletic Director for Media Relations and be responsible for all that entails, including publications, press releases, statistical updates, game coverage and maintenance of the athletic department website.

The selected individual will have strong writing and interpersonal skills, working knowledge of athletic sport programs, and an aptitude and willingness to learn desktop publishing and stat crew software.
