Chevo is currently hiring a Junior Business Analyst to join our expanding firm. This position will provide the opportunity for significant client interaction by learning the client’s business and to become a trusted advisor. This candidate will help the IRS ensure strategic plans, modernization efforts and infrastructure projects are well-planned and managed to successful completion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to process and procedural planning, capital planning, and program governance. Client location, New Carrollton, MD. This position is remote, with occasional client onsite engagement expected periodically.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps document plans, policies, and procedures
- Meets with client staff to understand needs and develop automated reporting solutions
- Contributes to successful program communications with stakeholders
- Helps facilitate customer and Chevo team meetings
- Monitors, measures, assesses and reports performance metrics for IRS modernization programs
- Creates status reports, both internally and to the client; and provides support for OMB, agency, and bureau data calls
- Assists investment owners in the development of Business Cases
- Assists in entering investment information into appropriate Portfolio Management tool
- Helps develop integrated expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations to support strategic outlook based on budget estimates and timelines
- Review and manage client communication, deliverables, and project milestones
- Takes on other tasks to ensure timely and quality submission of deliverables
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- One to four (1-4) years' experience
- Demonstrated analytical skills – assertive and inquisitive manner to capture data and information, and transform it into actionable progress reports
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, attention to detail, experience in the creation of complex data reports and analysis
- Ability to pass client security clearance requirements
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to clients
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting IRS IT programs
- Active IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance is a plus
- Familiar with the Agile software development methodology
- Experience with Federal government acquisition strategy, capital planning, investment management, and IT strategic planning
- Knowledge of Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC)
- Demonstrated use of collaboration tools
- Skill using Microsoft Project
SALARY RANGE: $68,500 - $80,000
