Chevo is hiring a Sr. Human Resources Manager to lead all Human Resources functions as well as oversee the Talent Acquisition team. The ideal candidate will have at least 10+ years of overall HR experience showing increased duties and responsibilities and career level. Qualified candidates will have strong business acumen, understanding of a federal consulting firm environment, management of team members, strategic planning, as well as hands on knowledge of operational tasks. This position is located at Chevo's headquarters in Rockville, MD with telework days allowed.
Overview:
The Senior Human Resources Manager will be responsible for leading and executing HR strategies that align with the company’s business objectives. This role combines high-level strategic leadership with hands-on oversight of HR operations, ensuring compliance, enhancing employee engagement, and driving professional development. The Senior HR Manager will also have oversite of the Talent Acquisition team, manage performance programs, and support corporate event planning to foster a positive and inclusive company culture.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives, including talent management, organizational development, succession planning, and workforce optimization.
- HR Operations and Compliance: Oversee all HR operations, benefits administration, 401K plan and HR compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and labor laws.
- Employee Relations and Engagement: Lead initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction. Analyze employee feedback and data to develop action plans for improvement; implementing policies and updating as needed.
- Talent Acquisition: At a high level, oversee Talent Acquisition team to collaborate with the Recruitment Manger on developing strategies, and ensure the company attracts, hires, and retains top talent across all functions.
- Performance Management: Manage performance review processes, providing guidance to managers on setting goals, providing feedback, and driving employee development.
- Training & Professional Development: Design and implement training programs that enhance employee skills, improve leadership capabilities, and support career growth across the organization. Experience in delivery of training is highly desired.
- Data Analytics: Leverage HR data analytics to inform strategic decisions, track key HR metrics, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Corporate Event Planning: Oversee the planning and execution of corporate events, including employee appreciation activities, team-building events, and corporate retreats.
- Presentation & Communication: Deliver impactful presentations to senior leadership and the broader organization, clearly communicating HR strategies, data insights, and initiatives.
- Employer Branding: Manage Chevo branding on Job Board sites such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or other related field of study
- SHRM or HRCI certification
- Ten or more (10+) years of HR experience
- Knowledge of Federal Government Consulting Services industry
- Proven presentation and training skills
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Expertise in MS Office, MS Teams, and SharePoint
- Strong interpersonal relations skills, enthusiastic attitude, and excellent work ethic.
SALARY RANGE: $120,000 - $140,000
