About the Role:

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will play a pivotal role in transforming how data drives decision making across the organization. By leveraging tools such as Metabase and DBT you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and managing dashboards; performing in depth analyses’ and collaborating across different business stakeholders to enable data driven insights. This role will be key to advancing Chief’s data-driven culture and ensuring continued success of our data initiatives.  

What you'll do:

  • Dashboard and Report Development: Design, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and reports in Metabase, continuously building upon them to satisfy end-user needs as data is refined and enriched, providing actionable insights.

  • Data Analysis: Go beyond surface level insights, taking a deeper level of analysis to look into underlying patterns, causes, and implications of the data for different areas of the business and different stakeholders. Further utilize knowledge of the business to proactively identify trends or data components to surface for leadership beyond original business asks.

  • DBT workflow management: Work alongside data engineering and tech teams to manage and maintain DBT models for transformation and data accuracy

  • Collaboration: Become a partner cross functionally to understand business needs, translate that to data requirements, and suggest key metrics to further support business decisions.

  • Data Quality and Governance: Ensure data integrity, consistency across reports, and own the documentation of data flows and logic

What you've done and enjoy doing:

  • Designed and built dashboards and reports on Metabase or similar platform to drive data-driven decision making, translating complex data into clear actionable insights.

  • Collaborated with cross functional teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored, impactful data solutions, communicating complex insights to stakeholders. 

  • Conducted deep analyses to identify trends, drive business strategy, using SQL or similar to provide actionable recommendations.

  • Worked with engineering teams to manage data pipelines, utilizing DBT and AWS or similar programs for data transformation and accuracy.

  • Maintained data quality, ensuring integrity, and consistency across reports and dashboards. 

  • Passionate about continuous learning, optimizing workflows, and implementing innovative solutions. 

  • Enjoy mentoring others, whether it’s a junior analyst or leading workshops, and thrive in autonomous and scrappy environments.

The base salary for this role is: $150,000
