Laundry Assistant (Full-time) - job 1 of 2

We have an opening for a full-time Laundry Assistant to support our Inpatient Complex Medical Care and Rehab Unit at our Johnston location. As a Laundry Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring clean, sanitary and attractive linens and clothing for the pediatric and young adult population we serve. 

Schedule
  • Full-time hours, Saturday and Sunday plus three other days during the week, days negotiable
 
What You'll Do
  • Greet customers with a positive, friendly, courteous attitude. Problem-solve and respond to customer needs. 
  • Follow all procedures for laundry duties. Follow all soiled linen and isolation laundry procedures.
  • Perform duties in compliance with established safety regulations.
  • Care for and maintain laundry area.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness: follow infection control guidelines, wear gloves appropriately and as needed. Follow all safety food service guidelines and regulations.
What You'll Need
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with laundry, preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, infrequently
  • Maneuver within the physical work environment with some bending, stooping and reaching.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing and speaking the English language.
