Circuit is seeking a dedicated Principal Frontend Engineer to join our team. Join us in shaping the future of knowledge!


Role Summary


As a Principal Frontend Engineer you will build the Circuit web app. This includes taking wireframes and direction from our design and product teams, and building beautiful experiences for our customers that are also accessible and responsive. You will be expected to extrapolate when needed, and you will participate in front-end planning and architecture decisions.


Key Responsibilities
  • Architecture and implementation of Circuit’s web app.
  • Testing and QA through to production for owned features.
  • Manage individual priorities, deadlines and deliverables.


Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with front-end development.
  • 5+ years of experience with Next.js, preferred App router and Server Actions.


Technical Skills
  • Strong experience with Typescript, React, HTML and CSS.
  • Experience with Linux, Git, SSH, Containers, Docker.
  • Direct experience writing e2e, integration and unit tests (Playwright, Jest, RTL).
  • Experience with responsiveness and accessibility.
  • Good understanding of best practices for UX.
  • Strong sense of aesthetics.


Human Skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
