The Opportunity:

Clarion’s Digital Marketing Division is the home of market-leading brands Affiliate Summit, Traffic & Conversion Summit & Creator Economy Live. This role will work across the portfolio but primarily on Affiliate Summit.

Affiliate Summit run the largest affiliate events in the world attracting thousands of advertisers, networks, agencies and affiliates from the US and around the globe. Affiliate Summit runs twice a year on the East and West Coast (hello, NYC and Vegas). In 2023 we launched Creator Economy Live – the first and largest event to focus on influencer marketing for enterprise brands – alongside the West coast edition. Traffic & Conversion Summit is the biggest digital marketing conference in North America for entrepreneurs, we have a mind-blowing pedigree of speakers including Richard Branson, Lisa Vanderpump and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

We don’t run your typical conference, so if you’re looking for a bunch of folks in grey suits, we might not be for you. We bring together SMEs, bloggers, Instagram influencers and the world’s largest ecommerce brands.

Our Vegas show sells out every year, and as EVERYBODY is now shopping online, we continue to grow at double digit rates.

We are seeking a candidate with experience in commercial conference production and a passion for digital marketing. They will be confident; creative; organised and have the desire to play a key part in ensuring that our events and content programme are inclusive.

Key Responsibilities:

Industry Research & Insight

  • Develop strong market knowledge for the digital marketing industry and creator economy, as well as build relationships with industry stakeholders, in the digital marketing and affiliate space.
  • Conduct and document regular customer research projects – ensuring that all research can be presented to the team so that it can influence marketing, sales, operations, and customer success strategies.
  • Use business intelligence, customer feedback and insight to suggest and implement new conference program ideas and to assess the success of the conference agenda.
  • Attend industry events for relationship building and market insight.
  • Continued learning about the marketing industry through attending events, reading, listening to podcasts and webinars.

Event & Content Programming

  • Programming and content production for agenda tracks, demo stages and awards.
  • Develop new and innovative programming formats and ways of presenting content to stay ahead of other events.
  • Create compelling agenda sessions that fit with our tone of voice and appeal to audience demographics.
  • Create commercial attractive agendas that create sponsorship opportunities.

Speaker Management  

  • Recruit and confirm high-profile speakers by using speaker outreach tactics and managing inbound applications.
  • Improve and update programming guidelines and rules for submissions and partners.
  • Work with speakers to develop their presentations and ensure key takeaways are delivered.
  • Manage speakers and content tracks on site at events, ensuring the programme is delivered as planned.
  • Manage logistics with keynote speakers and ensure contract terms are adhered to.

Digital Content

  • Create articles, webinars, blog, and roundtables that can be used to market the events that are tied into the agenda and customer research.
  • Work closely with content marketing and co-ordinate digital content creation through freelancers and speakers - managing their deadlines.

Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours:

  • Content production experience on commercial events.
  • An interest in the digital marketing industry is essential.
  • Excellent and proactive communicator with great verbal and written communications skills that can translate, simply, content strategies to a range of stakeholders and team members.
  • A critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly in other time zones and travel where necessary.
  • Extremely organised; our events can have up to 100 speakers.
  • Strong multitasker who can successfully meet multiple deadlines at the same time.
  • The ability to write and edit copy.
