Crisis Management: PR professionals are instrumental during crises by managing communication effectively, thereby protecting the Clinic's reputation and maintaining public trust. This aligns with the mission of ensuring transparency and accountability even in challenging situations.A caregiver in this position works 8:00am—5:00pm.A caregiver who excels in this role will:• Align internal stakeholders and media needs to promote new programs, facilities, services and other activities for the Florida region, including executive positioning and industry outreach.• Develop, direct and monitor strategic external communications strategies that positively affect caregivers’ and consumers’ understanding, engagement and commitment with and connection to the Cleveland Clinic Florida region.• Supervise all aspects of external communications including budget, contractors and vendors, workflow and dissemination of information to Cleveland Clinic Florida media outlets and stakeholders.• Utilize analytics to improve offerings and optimizes response and evaluates ROI for all initiatives. Develops and monitors quality metrics for established corporate communications strategies.• Determine projects which should be completed internally and externally. Manages relationships with outside vendors, as necessary.• Drive continual process improvements and implement best practices to manage projects efficiently.• Collaborate closely with managers in marketing and business development, center administrators and directors, physicians, and service line leaders across the Florida region.• Work closely with Florida administration and Ohio corporate communications team members on local and state issues that impact the industry and the organization.• Handle corporate crisis management activities, in collaboration with Ohio corporate communications team, Florida leadership and the Florida communications team. Includes serving as part of communications team for emergency operations management.• Develop, write, and research press materials, news releases, media advisories, pitch letters and press kits for local, national, and international media.• Provide media training to physicians, staff, and others to prepare them for interviews and ensure integration of core institute/business unit messages.• Coordinate news conferences and help with other extraordinary events.• Serve as communications contact for Cleveland Clinic Weston President. Includes developing talking points for events, communications for caregivers and stakeholders, and other communication channels as needed.• Oversees development and management of website content.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:• Bachelor's Degree public relations, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.• In-depth knowledge of marketing research techniques; problem solving, data collection and analysis, interpretation, and presentation.• Seven years of media relations, public relations, or communications experience.Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:• Master’s Degree.• Solid understanding of healthcare terminology, trends, and issues.• Can distill complex medical information into clear, compelling messages for various audiences (patients, healthcare professionals, media).• Experience in building and maintaining relationships with journalists, editors, and media outlets is important.• Be adept at pitching stories, preparing press releases, and handling media inquiries effectively.• Can handle sensitive and potentially high-pressure situations with tact and professionalism is vital. Experience in crisis communication planning and execution is highly desirable.• Can develop and execute PR strategies that align with Cleveland Clinic's overall goals and mission.
