Position Summary
The primary responsibility of the Client Technology Solutions (CTS) Architect is to drive CTS adoption through intelligent consulting and brand tool demonstrations across litigation, regulatory and transactional law projects/opportunities. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in e-Discovery, contract lifecycle management and investigations to drive client success. Experience in applying artificial intelligence techniques on legal and business projects. The Solutions Architect will become an expert in all proprietary and licensed software under the CTS brand umbrella. Proven ability to present technology and solutions demonstration to high-end buyers. Will serve as first layer of escalation support for CTS analysts to advise attorneys and legal professionals in using technology and legal project management techniques to drive efficiency and deliver the highest quality client service. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication skills, utilize legal project management methodologies and implement cost effective innovative solutions for clients. Fostering client success relationships with lawyers and business clients is critical.
Essential Functions
Provide technical sales support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities and revenue which includes customizing presentations on products and solutions
Consult with firm lawyers and clients on developing innovative solutions and tailored technology workflows, while managing customer budget and expectations throughout the litigation and transactional lifecycles.
Explain product capabilities, limitations, and implementation requirements and describe technical tradeoffs and implementation alternatives while balancing revenue opportunities.
Actively participate in sales calls involving complex technical requirements or multiple hardware platforms serving as the lead technical resource in the sales cycle.
Provide demonstrations and presentations for industry Seminars and Tradeshows.
Collect business and technical information from clients regarding requirements, mapping those to the CTS solution proposal.
Drive overall client satisfaction through effective coordination and communication of client deliverables.
Stay current and advise on cutting edge artificial intelligence (AI) and technology assisted review (TAR) solutions for Litigation and Transactional matter application.
Provide training in classroom settings, with legal teams and one‑on‑one, in the use of litigation and transactional technology tools.
Charge all billable time to appropriate client matters. A minimum of 1500 billable hours are required per year.
Provide feedback and assistance in preparing annual performance appraisals for the Client Technology Solutions Analysts.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Enterprise software sales support experience.
Strong knowledge of software and technology in the legal IT sector, ideally in e-discovery and contract technology.
General understanding of database models, client-server architecture, and SQL Server.
Experience working in enterprise-type software sales or consulting environment.
Project management experience involving software implementation.
Exemplary communications skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to operate independently with a high degree of energy, enthusiasm and flexibility.
Project Management
Lead a project team on an as needed basis, which may include: a Client Technology Solutions Analyst, a Database Analyst or a Project Assistant.
Run project design meetings for legal teams consisting of attorneys, paralegals, clients and vendors. Advise legal teams on workflow, process database design, data collection and review protocols.
Prepare required project documentation to include database design specifications, processing and delivery specifications and reporting.
Oversee, coordinate and track project progress and workflow.
Define and manage custom solutions for specialized project needs.
Proactively apply quality project management techniques to ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements
Education: College degree in relevant field of study or system-related technical certification required.
Experience: Five plus years of experience managing complex, technically demanding projects, either for a law firm or for a professional services company. Experience, from an administrative perspective, with one or more of the following applications: Relativity, Heretik, Brainspace, NexLP, Kira, eBrevia, Equivio, Microsoft SQL, SharePoint, Access, Adobe Acrobat.
Skills: Strong oral and written communications skills, excellent teamwork and mentoring abilities. Ability to work effectively with others under short deadlines in high‑pressure situations. Ability to exercise independent judgment within broad parameters as determined by the attorneys managing the cases. Ability to coordinate resources to meet competing demands. Ability to interact with vendors. Ability to act and work independently, is able to handle interruptions, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Ability to understand and follow specific and detailed instructions. Must display a professional manner with attorneys, paralegals and other staff members. Must be prompt and maintain good attendance. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Equipment To Be Used: General office equipment such as telephone, calculator, copiers, etc. Must be able to operate desktop personal computers and laptops.
Typical Physical Demands: Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, calculators, telephones and other office equipment.
Typical Mental Demands: Able to deal with stress associated with fast-paced work environment. Multiple priorities/tasks. Make judgment decisions and adapt to changing work situations with minimal supervision. Grasp and apply new ideas. Communicate with various personalities at all levels.
Working Conditions: Works in a typical office setting. Occasional travel for one or more days at a time. Carry a blackberry at all times, on and off hours. Frequently called upon to work in excess of 40 hours per week, which may include occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays.
