Overview
The Human Resources Administrator is responsible for managing Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) leaves, Accommodation Leaves and leaves of absence under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA). The HR Administrator also handles other administrative duties for the HR Team. This is an entry level position that requires 1 to 2 years of HR experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
•Advise colleagues on their rights and responsibilities under federal and local leaves of absence.
•Expert on communication to both colleagues and managers regarding all applicable leaves of absence.
•Create and maintain FLMA spreadsheet and files all information relating to FMLA and other leave requests.
•Responsible for advising managers and colleagues on leave laws
•Manage the return-to-work process for colleagues returning from leaves of absence.
•Serve as the expert regarding leaves of absence, ensures the company is following policies and procedures.
•Work with HR and Recruiting regarding required certifications for field colleagues.
•Assists the HR team with various administrative duties
•Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
•Strong knowledge of Family Medical Leave Act, Pregnant Workers Fairness Act, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, and other required regulations covering leaves of absence.
•Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
•Must exercise diplomacy, discretion, sound judgment, and flexibility in varying situations, and must maintain confidentiality.
•Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
•Excellent organization and time management skills required.
•Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and make decisions relating to assigned tasks and responsibilities.
•Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems software including, but not limited to Word and Excel.
Qualifications (Experience, Education, Licensure, Certification)
•At least one to two (2) years of human resources and/or administrative experience required.

The HR Administrator works in areas that are highly visible and designed and furnished to make a good impression. Most work stations are clean, well-lighted, and relatively quiet. Work is primarily sedentary in nature.
