Cloud and Compute Architect

Cognizant is seeking a Cloud and Compute Architect for a full-time opportunity. This is a remote role, and the candidate can be located anywhere in the US (must be able to work PST hours)The salary range for this role is between $135,000 to $160,000 depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate. The role would span On Premise/Cloud (AWS).Responsibilities:· Independently own Networking initiates in data center and cloud domain· Ideal candidate will have SaaS+ on prem SW installation + general understanding of security + network experience· Work closely with customer stakeholders on cloud migration· Work with project governance team on defining acceptance criteria and get sign-off· Requirements gathering for target cloud landscape· Prepare target state design for cloud migration· Determine source and target Workloads, Create migration runbook· Provisioning of Dev, QA and Production environment· Define standards and processes for cloud provisioning· Leverage automation script/Manage script changes· Review target architecture on cloud.Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of experience in the following areas:● On-Prem: Data center, Compute (Redhat & SUSE Linux, AIX, Solaris, Windows), Storage (NetApp, Pure, Hitachi, EMC, IBM), SAN (Cisco & Brocade), VMWare, Apache, Tomcat, Backups (NetBackup & Commvault), HA (Veritas and Redhat Cluster), Databases, DR solutions, DNS, NTP, Load balancers, Checkpoint and Cisco Firewalls, IDS● Platform: Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud (GCP), Microsoft Azure● Containers, CI, CD: Kubernetes, Dockers, ECS, EKS, Jenkins● Tools /Language: Device42, Microsoft office, Visio, project, Git, GitHub, GitLab, YAML, Shell Scripting.Preferred Skills:● Monitoring: Splunk, SolarWinds, Prometheus, Nagios, Dynatrace,● Security Tools: Rapid7, Sentinel-One, Varonis, AWS Security HUB (Guard-duty, Inspector, Detective, CloudTrail)
