This includes developing and maintaining backend APIs, databases, and other infrastructure.· The Backend Engineer will also work with front-end engineers to integrate their work with the backend.· The ideal candidate almost exclusively deals with server components. Their main responsibilities may include database management server-side scripting and API governance.· S/he is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the server side of web applications. They manage servers, and APIs, design scalable architecture, and implement security measures. They also focus on web services and the data store (data modeling and databases).· The candidate needs to have a wide range of skills, roles, and responsibilities, all of which are important to building the technical infrastructure of modern applications. They should have extensive knowledge about Python and Java since they are the most in-demand technologies. They should also be proficient in version control systems like Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
