College & Career Coach-Mountain Home High School

Arkansas State University – Mountain Home seeks applicants for a grant-funded College and Career Coach position to serve the Mountain Home School District. This is a twelve month, full-time position with benefits and reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Marketing and Community Relations. The focus of the College and Career Coach is to support and motivate students in their educational goals through college and career planning and other support services. The College and Career Coach will have an office location at Mountain Home High School and will assist students daily on career identification, provide general information on the college admission process, conduct academic enrichment workshops, facilitate study groups, provide information about online resources, develop career inventory options, assist with ACCUPLACER testing, financial aid workshops, and scholarship applications.

Compensation includes an annual salary commensurate with background and experience, and a comprehensive benefits and leave package. Please note, position continuation will be contingent upon renewed grant funding each fiscal year.

Job Description:

The required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university, excellent computer skills, and strong oral and written communication skills. Preferred qualifications include experience in student support and familiarity with local school programs. The Career Development Facilitator (CDF) credential is also a plus.
