Commercial Claims Litigation Manager

Location: Remote

What You'll Do

  • Work in tandem with the Claims Leadership Team to develop and lead through completion claims settlement strategy on a claim-by-claim basis
  • Manage and provide feedback to Claim Specialists on claim results and audit results
  • Provide file direction and oversight as needed with direct reports
  • Create procedural documents with data in support of recommendations to improve expenses, cycle time, and service
  • Work inter-departmentally to investigate insurance claims and facilitate claims handling activities
  • Prepare and present accurate, clear, thorough, and concise reports and letters to key company personnel, including reports on complex and/or highly detailed claims, providing conclusions and recommendations
  • Use experience and judgment to determine when additional in-house or outside expert assistance may be required.
  • Manage vendor relationships as necessary
  • Leads an experienced team of Claim Specialists to adhere to Best Practices, Compliance, Reserving Guidelines, and Litigation Guidelines

What We Need

  • Commercials General Liability Claims Experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 10+ years of management experience
  • Litigation management experience
  • Vendor management skills
  • Outstanding attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication (e.g. roundtable presentation) skills
  • Ability to understand claims adjudication processes, claim law and jurisdictional issues
  • Strong research and investigative abilities
  • Negotiation, conflict resolution, and persuasion abilities
  • Trustworthiness, integrity, and personal accountability
  • Adherence to standards of ethical behavior and professional conduct;
  • Keen service orientation and ability to grasp and respond to sundry client needs
  • Achieved or working towards any of the following designations: CPCU, PCLS/PCLA, SPPA, AIC2
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred

The US annual base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000 - $130,000. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including, without limitation, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. NEXT employees are eligible to participate in our equity incentive program and will also receive our benefits package, consisting of our partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision/dental options, life insurance, disability insurance, 401(k), flexible paid time off, parental leave and more.
