Commercial Counsel (Remote)

What You'll Do:

  • Work collaboratively with internal Criteria team members to complete contract review
  • Create and manage form contracts
  • Work on agreements to complete redlines and negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with Criteria's policies, standards, and procedures
  • Draft, review, and finalize legal agreements related to all of the foregoing, including varied license agreements, service agreements, MSA, PSAs, strategic partner agreements, and vendor agreements
  • Advise internal Criteria Executive and Senior Level Teams on complex deal structures, contractual legal issues and risks, company approval processes, company policies and procedures, and negotiation strategy.
  • Support the continuous improvement of standard form agreements and legal processes for Criteria.

What You Should Know/Have:

  • You have a Juris Doctor degree and are admitted to practice in at least one of the 50 United States (CA or NY preferred)
  • You have at least 2-3 years transactional legal experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, license agreements, and other agreements (SaaS contracting experience preferred).
  • You have experience working in a fast-paced Sales environment with all levels of the company
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills
  • You have a demonstrated ability to analyze complex information
  • You have prior experience working at a high-growth, scaling company/startup You have experience with privacy and data protection regulations (desired but not required)
  • You can balance legal risk with business objectives to get transactions completed

This is a U.S. based remote position; therefore, relocation is not available for this position.
