We’re looking for an accomplished Commercial Data Management and Reporting Associate Director to set the Commercial strategy for data operations/management and Commercial reporting.
This role is responsible for enabling and driving efficient quality, access and management of Commercial Data and Reporting environments to support the evolving needs of the growing Commercial channel teams. You will be a critical enabler to reduce cycle times for analytical projects, empower advanced analytics methodologies and provide consolidated reporting.
This role needs to prioritize staying current on trends and new developments in data quality, processing, data analytics systems and software and creating a roadmap for new data processes and related capabilities. You will work with senior IT leadership and set the strategy between the Commercial team and the IT organization for data technology platforms and help coordinate on the creation of connections between platforms and tools so that data can flow appropriately and consistently, with easy access to all.
The Commercial Data Strategy and Operations function can be thought of as the enablers of data "pipes" filled with data "water". This function also provides higher-level blueprints and ensures the right data "water" is flowing.
Additional responsibilities include driving improvements in the organization, processes, storage and use of systems and data and implementing data quality initiatives (Roadmap).
This position can be based remotely with the US or Hybrid in Menlo Park.

Build a Commercial data strategy and reporting function from the ground up.

Data and data tools are a critical strategic asset for the Commercial Channel Teams and this role is responsible for ensuring the data is available for making better more effective strategic business investment decisions. This data impacts every aspect of the commercial organization (Clinic Sales, Enterprise Sales, Health Systems, Finance, Marketing, etc.).

Responsible for the strategy for the data operations and management for the Commercial teams, this role will enable and drive efficient quality, access and management of Commercial Data and Reporting environments to support the evolving needs of the Commercial Operations, Analytics, Insights, Salesforce Effectiveness, Sales and Marketing teams.

Provide direction and ownership of data systems such as MDM, (HCP, HCO, Product, etc.), affiliations, Product Master, data QC tools, data onboarding checks and processes and any issues related to these systems, setting direction and strategy for these capabilities and providing industry perspective on how they can be optimized. This work will allow data users to be successful in their analytics and reporting work.

Set overall direction for the data operations approach, vision and philosophy.

Own the IT relationship with Commercial Operations and works with senior IT leadership, which sets the strategy between Commercial and the IT organization for data technology platforms and helps coordinate on the creation of connections between platforms and tools so that data can flow appropriately.

Translate upcoming IT initiatives and set direction on the impact of any changes in IT work across these environments including prioritization, requirements gathering and implementation.

Expert and stays current on trends and new developments in data quality, processing, data analytics systems and software and creating a roadmap for new data processes and related capabilities.

Set direction for the design, development, deployment and maintenance of Commercial Data storage environment (lake/warehouse/database) to support analytical, reporting and marketing requirements.

Establish clear guidelines so that their team is able to verify all processing in IT Data Warehouses is being performed as expected with coordination with Commercial and IT.

Set a vision and enable their team to establish and maintain QC framework and data QC tool for ensuring the quality, timeliness and completeness of the data.

Provide a framework to implement training and deskside support to data user stakeholders (analytics and insights). This may be technical access support or assistance with how to use / query the data. Ensure the team is trained to conduct live training sessions when needed to support new users or rollout new capabilities.

Create a documentation processes, ensuring the team has created business user documentation that is maintained to provide a resource for users and can onboard new data users as needed across Commercial.

Bachelor's degree required from an accredited college/university in Business or MIS or equivalent experience and 12 years of relevant work experience.

10+ years of experience in Operations, Data Management including data architecture, governance, Data Modeling, ETL, Enterprise Data Warehouse and Analytics.

Proven project management skills, able to lead and manage large business change programs.

Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Office software and documents preferred.

The expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $134,000 - $178,000. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, and location.
Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
