Computer Services Specialist

The computer services specialist will provide support for Apple- and Windows-based applications and operating systems, performing troubleshooting and repairs when necessary while documenting the work performed. The specialist will provide client support for various services including email and internet access along with performing software and hardware installations/upgrades. Additionally, the specialist will recommend purchases and will transport equipment from building to building.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or one to two years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Familiarity with Apple- and Windows-based hardware and software support
• Ability to transport monitors and CPUs from office to office
• Willingness to attend training workshops internally and externally

Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver’s license

Travel required: Less than 10%

Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
