Position description

As a Surrogacy Match Expert, you’ll be responsible for guiding, educating, and actively matching clients while using our proprietary Matching Matters process and successfully matching them with the right surrogate.

Position responsibilities

• Perform consultations with intended parents.

• Closely liaise with the Surrogate Engagement Team and its source of surrogate candidates.

• Expertly research and select surrogates for intended parent matches.

• Perform surrogate match presentations and Match Meetings. 

• Accurate data collection and summary communication with intended parents and surrogates after the match acceptance as well as to colleagues during the match handoff. 

• Provide all-in customer service by going above and beyond when necessary. This will include flexibility in scheduling after-hours calls or meetings. 

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflows. 

Experience and skills

• Experience with the treatment options, emotional aspects, and logistics of the fertility industry – e.g., as a fertility nurse, third-party coordinator, former donor or surrogate, or former intended parent. 

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in social work, psychology, teaching or business management. 

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar position that focused on customer service, business negotiations or relationship management. 

• Master’s degree and or licensing in a specialty field is a plus.

•  A love for working with growing organizations, knowing that growth enables impact. 

• Great aplomb in understanding the needs of discerning clients as well as the patience, attention and fortitude required to fulfill those needs. 

• Having a balanced approach to achieving efficiencies with an expert ability to plan ahead and be action oriented. 

• The ability to be open to people and a willingness to hear what others are saying. You consider yourself to be an excellent diplomat while keeping objectives at the forefront. 

• Proven track record for learning on-the-job skills that have helped grow organizations. 

• The ability to be courageous and to inspire others to be courageous in the midst of difficult conversations. 

• The ability to communicate in an efficient and effective manner, both written and orally.
