Position description
The Project Manager will lead and oversee portfolios, programs, and projects, ensuring that strategic initiatives are completed on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards. This role involves effective collaboration across the organization, engaging stakeholders, and fulfilling commitments. Key responsibilities include process governance, securing stakeholder buy-in, and optimizing resource utilization. The primary goal is to manage multiple projects effectively, ensuring commitments are met and labor resources are utilized efficiently through the application of Program, Project, and Resource Management principles.
Position responsibilities
- Initiate, plan, and manage projects involving cross-functional teams, business units, and external staff resources.
- Define and manage project objectives, scopes, and milestones through a structured approval and change management process.
- Establish project management processes, accountability, and expectations for all participants.
- Track the project life cycle, including success factors, acceptance, and stakeholder sign-off.
- Create and maintain project plans, track deliverables against time and cost, and report on resource workload capacity metrics.
- Influence teams to view the project management workflow as an opportunity to build a high-impact performance organization.
- Adapt to and respond effectively to shifts in project scope, changing requirements, and unexpected events.
- Maintain a project dashboard to provide insights into project status, approved decisions, and ongoing actions.
- Ensure project governance controls, transparency, and traceability for executives, stakeholders, and team members.
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and integration of project management methodologies to streamline project delivery.
- Be a proactive Project Manager by ensuring all assigned task owners meet their deliverables. Provide support and take necessary actions as needed.
Experience and skills
- 3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager across diverse technology and program areas.
- Proven ability to manage project resources both indirectly and remotely.
- Skilled in overseeing all stages of the project life cycle, including scheduling, budgeting, risk and issue management, and status reporting to various organizational levels.
- Experience working with various platforms and techniques, including CRM systems, CMS platforms, mobile apps, and data analytics technologies.
- Metrics-driven with strong analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across groups to reach consensus on both short- and long-term product plans.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in interacting effectively with all levels of management.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
