Immediate need for a Corporate Controller to be a strategic business partner to the Executive Leadership team. The Corporate Controller will be responsible for the administrative and financial operations of the company. This includes the continuous development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures, financial strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and ongoing development and... monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
What you will be doing:
• Oversee and manage month-end closing activities, participate in the development and optimization of accounting processes and monthly procedures.
• Manage and streamline the general ledger financial accounting and reporting processes to include inter-company reporting, consolidations and month-end adjusting journal entries
• Collect and prepare financial information and management reports to reconcile monthly inter-company activity
• Lead and contribute to internal/external auditing process. Prepare analyses to internal/external stakeholders and regulatory bodies for tax related issues (direct, indirect)
• Ensure correctness and accuracy of Company’s financial situation of financial statements (Income statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Cash Flows, etc.)
• Manage and control Company level reporting, according to legal compliance and GAAP requirements.
• Manage and oversees general ledger accounting and reporting structure, management reporting and all inter-company activity
• Maintain operational best practices and ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting
• Take full ownership on the trial balance, monitoring all significant balance sheet accounts and consolidated general ledger activity and open financial statement items
• Assist in formulating the team’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
• Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs, strategies and regulatory action.
Job What is requirements:
• BA in Accounting or Finance, CPA is a must, Advanced Microsoft Excel User
• 8-years plus of progressive accounting experience with mid-sized company or group of companies with demonstrated experience working within a corporate general ledger structure
• Proven leadership and interpersonal skills
• Solid communication skills with calm demeanor and the ability to manage at all levels of the organization
• Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
