Director of Ecommerce Operations

Job Summary:The Director of Ecommerce Operations is responsible for managing and growing our business. Responsibilities include analyzing, reviewing, recommending and building strategic and tactical changes to internet properties that drive business profitability by increasing visitors, improving conversion rates, capturing larger average order sizes and managing margin performance.Job Responsibilities:• Ownership and management of customer experience including design & aesthetics, content, navigation, information architecture, branding/marketing, performance, and functionality• Ownership and management of technical infrastructure including multiple web storefronts using BigCommerce ecommerce platform• Ownership and management of 3rd party marketplaces, including Amazon, Walmart, and eBay, including inventory allocation and control.• Ownership and management of internet marketing including social media integration• Provide SEO/SEM/PPC and Internet Marketing thought leadership, innovation, and process improvement initiatives• Ownership and management of SEO measurements and monitoring methodologies• Direct and manage internal and external teams• Perform supervisory functions, including but not limited to, making employment decisions regarding hiring, promoting, demoting, and terminating, conducting performance appraisals and coaching and developing associates.• Other duties as assignedRequired Skills and Qualifications:• Proficiency in HTML, CSS & Web Development / Design• Experience with ecommerce platforms and payment systems• Email marketing systems experience• Experience managing product feeds• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software• Internet best practices and the impact that these have on SEO• Internet Marketing best practices that result in customer acquisition, retention, and growth• Managing & directing website Technical Structure, Design & Aesthetics, Content, Navigation, Information Architecture, Branding/Marketing, Performance, & Functionality efforts to positively impact eCommerce efforts• Ability to specify technical changes to technical/development teams• An in depth understanding of search engines, search engine optimization and factors that influence high rankings in Google• Experience with PPC - Management of pay per click programs• Experience with web analytics tools (Analytics, ETC)• Knowledge of Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Bing Ads• Experience using a CMS and an understanding of the impact they have on SEO• Ability to compile and analyze search data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction• Ability to perform click through rate, conversion, spend and creative analysis to identify growth/optimization opportunities• Ability to work independently and within a team environment• Strong independent decision-making, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skillsPreferred Skills and Qualifications:• Experience with BigCommerce or a similar ecommerce platform• Experience with Omnisend or a similar email marketing system• Experience with GoDataFeed or a similar feed management system• Experience with Authorize.Net payment gateway and fraud filtering• Experience with ShipWorks or a similar shipping software• Experience with Google GSuiteAbout Us:We offer a casual work environment and a comprehensive benefits package that includes PTO, paid holidays, health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with up to 3% company match.We are an equal employment opportunity employerJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:• 401(k)• 401(k) matching• Dental insurance• Flexible schedule• Health insurance• Life insurance• Paid time off• Vision insuranceSchedule:• Monday to FridayApplication Question(s):• Please list your salary requirements.• This is NOT a remote position.
