Summary:The Benefits and Compensation Analyst is responsible for managing and administering employee benefits programs and compensation plans for North America. This role involves analyzing compensation data, researching industry trends, and ensuring that the company's benefits packages are competitive and aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints.Duties:• Develop, implement, and continuously improve our compensation strategies and programs including pay bands, job design, incentives and overall compensation philosophy; provide support and training to internal stakeholders regarding compensation issues.• Participate in salary surveys and benchmarking studies to determine the organization's competitive position.• Evaluate job positions, determine pay bands and/or market pricing and assist with updating job descriptions, as needed.• Analyze data and prepare reports on compensation trends, costs and effectiveness; partner with Total Rewards Leader in benchmarking information to ensure company remains competitive in the market.• Manage the annual compensation process such as merit-based pay increases and short-term incentive programs including communication and education.• Maintain job descriptions ensuring consistency in job titles and structure across all business units.• Responsible for administration of the company workers’ compensation program, including monitoring claims, maintaining files and providing necessary support in defense of claims.• Responsible for notifying the employee’s supervisor of the status of the case, coordinating the return to work of the employee, tracking changes in benefit levels, and updating employment status.• Coordinate amongst company managers, HR, safety teams, insurance adjusters, medical providers and employees to investigate and process claims.• Follows up on all actions and formulates the best resolution of the claims; facilitates litigation plan evaluation and management, as well as cost containment strategies.• Communicates trends or concerns regarding claims to supervisor in a timely manner.• Provides cross-functional support to ensure compliance with all related leave of absence laws, ADA requirements and company policy.• Will assist with annual benefit enrollment and other special projects, as needed.Education and Qualifications:• Bachelors degree in related field.• 5-10 years of previous experience in a similar role.• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to leaves and benefits (Health and welfare, and retirement) required.• A self-starter with the ability to work with minimal direction while maintaining a high level of productivity and efficiency.• A strong attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple projects and processes.• Adaptable and flexible to changing work environments and complex employee needs.• Exceptional critical thinking and research skills.• Ability to create strong effective relationships with all members across the organization• Excellent communication skills verbal, written and virtual• Ability to communicate compensation plan designs to all levels of the organization• Advanced Microsoft office skills including Excel, word, PowerPoint• Previous HRIS experience required; Ceridian Dayforce a PLUS
