Signals / Protocol Analyst - multiple levels - CLEARANCE and POLYGRAPH REQUIRED

SEDB, THRESHER, WIRESHARK, ELINT, PROFORMA, MCSAP, MESAP


Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position.


Required:
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have TS/SCI clearance w/ active polygraph
  • This position is open to multiple levels of years of experience; two (02) years within the last five (05) years must be directly related to the job you are applying for:
  • Level 04 requires a minimum fifteen (15) years of direct/relevant experience
  • Level 03 requires a minimum twelve (12) years of direct/relevant experience
  • Level 02 requires a minimum nine (09) years of direct/relevant experience
  • Level 01 requires a minimum six (06) years of direct/relevant experience
  • Relevant experience must be in signals analysis (COMINT, ELINT, FISINT, and/or PROFORMA) and/or design and engineering or aerospace, communications, electronic or industrial systems
  • Those who have completed relevant military degree programs (or equivalent) or who have completed relevant military training (9141 (Navy Tech ELINT Analyst 1N2A (Air Force Tech ELINT Analyst 451/461 (Intermediate Signals Analysis) or 452 (Advanced Signals Analysis); or who have participated in or graduated from a relevant training program such as the Military COMINT Signals Analysis Program (MCSAP) Military ELINT Signals Analysis Program (MESAP) or Military OpELINT Signals Analysis Program (MOSAP)
  • Relevant experience must be in signals analysis, including protocol analysis, and preferably related to communication signals, network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and/or network security analysis
  • Relevant experience related to communications signals (e.g., bitstream analysis, waveform analysis, protocol analysis), network troubleshooting, network traffic characterization, and/or network security analysis.
  • Relevant experience with analyzing and interpreting complex signals data in a projected work environment.
  • Proficient in software tools: SEDB, THRESHER, WIRESHARK
  • Familiar with modern RF and communication technologies  
  • Familiar with discovery mission and techniques  
  • Familiar with collection and tasking flow
  • Experience in working in collaborative environment with various external partners
  • Background in tradecraft and analytic development
  • Ability to detect, acquire, locate and identify foreign electronic intelligence.
  • Experience with monitoring signals intelligence (SIGINT) equipment.
  • Knowledge of agency specific tools and methodologies.    


These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • JCAC (Joint Cyber Analysis Course), Network+, Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), Microsoft Networking, Computer Network Administrator (CNA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP), Certified Ethical Hacking, and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
  • DOD 8140 / DOD 8570 Certifications.
  • Experience in signal processing to contribute to general applications within the field; strong analytical mindset and the ability to work with diverse signal sources to extract valuable insights.  
  • Understanding of the data link layer of the OSI model, along with expertise in SONET and optical networking.
  • Knowledge of network architectures to analyze and interpret complex network protocols, ensuring optimal performance and security across systems.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and the ability to work with advanced communication technologies.


$100,000 - $200,000 a year
The pay range for this job, with multi-levels, is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
