Content Marketing Associate

We're looking for an Associate, Content Marketing to help us accomplish our mission to improve lives by learning from the experience of every cancer patient. Here's what you need to know about the role, our team and why Flatiron Health is the right next step in your career. 

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll join the Content Marketing team to increase the use of real-world evidence in oncology research and promote Flatiron science. You will support a robust content marketing program focused on developing and disseminating compelling thought-leadership content to increase awareness, engagement and lead generation to our targeted audiences, including life sciences companies, health authorities and policy groups. 

In addition, you'll also:

  • Operationalize multiple content marketing programs, partnering with cross-functional internal teams to access key inputs to help inform marketing strategy.
  • Connect with a variety of subject matter experts to identify new content opportunities, pulling from internal and external sources.
  • Become the internal expert on what content exists on a variety of strategically important topics and can be leveraged in a variety of marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar, content repository and requisite organization workflows.
  • Work with subject matter experts to develop content marketing collateral including speaking proposals, scientific publication summaries and email newsletters.
  • Collaborate with digital marketing and external communication teams to execute a content promotion strategy, ensuring maximum exposure of our content to our target audience. 
  • Develop and maintain a meaningful measurement and optimization strategy.

Who You Are

You're an experienced marketer with 2-4 years of relevant experience in B2B/SaaS marketing targeting scientific and/or technical audiences ideally within the pharma, biotech, healthcare/healthtech, medical education or Life Sciences consulting industry. You're excited by the prospect of rolling up your sleeves to tackle meaningful problems each and every day. You’re a kind, passionate and collaborative problem-solver who seeks and gives candid feedback, and values the chance to make an important impact. Additionally, 

  • You are insanely organized and love keeping tasks on track
  • You are a gifted storyteller and communicator
  • You have proficiency with relevant marketing tools / platforms (editorial calendars, analytics, content research, marketing automation, etc.)
  • You have experience developing and/or marketing scientific thought leadership content tailored to technical audiences
  • You have experience measuring the impact of content initiatives as well as individual content pieces.
  • You have strong stakeholder management skills, interpersonal communication, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional initiatives 
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity, proactive, and eager to work on projects autonomously in an ambiguous environment

Extra Credit

  • Experience working at a startup
  • Experience in marketing or using data products
  • Familiarity with the drug development lifecycle, especially within Oncology
  • Basic understanding of SEO, content categorization and structure
