Stock Clerk

Continental Disc Corporation, LLC (“CDC”) designs and manufactures safety-critical products that protect pressure-containing vessels from catastrophic failure. CDC is headquartered in Liberty, Missouri (outside Kansas City), and has manufacturing operations in Houston, Texas, and Ahmedabad, India with additional sales offices in India, the Netherlands and China. The Role

The Stock Clerk is a vital position within Continental Disc Corporation and is responsible for receiving and unpacking incoming items, filling orders with raw materials and finished components for production and maintaining accurate inventory records in accordance with company inventory control procedures and safety policies. THIS IS A 2nd SHIFT POSITION (2pm-10pm).

What You'll Be Doing

  • Receiving and unpacking purchased goods, verifying content, condition and quantity against packing slip
  • Receiving and putting away parts to the proper locations
  • Marking raw materials with QA traceability numbers
  • Cutting metal material on shears and pulling parts for shop orders
  • Maintain accurate records for inventory
  • Participate in daily cycle counts and yearly physical inventory
  • Laser marking parts and tags. Spot welding tags onto holders
  • Replenishing stock, receiving work orders, MRB dispositions, performing location transfers
  • Cut bar material on bar saw machine
  • Read a tape measure
  • Lifting up to 50lbs daily
  • Generating inventory reports as needed
  • Performing other duties as assigned, based on workload and business need

Education, Work Experience and Skills

  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Intermediate math and reading skills
  • Working knowledge of and ability to safely use industrial equipment used in receiving, putting up purchased goods and preparing orders. This includes, but is not limited to saws, kick shears, laser marking machine, hand shears, calipers, dollies, welder, pallets jacks, vacuum list and forklifts.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
