Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit
Elliott University Center is a department within the Division of Student Affairs. The Elliott University Center (EUC) serves as a welcoming hub of campus life for The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and enhances the collegiate experience for students by providing a venue for learning, entertainment, social interaction and opportunities for self-development. In addition to creating continuing educational and developmental opportunities for UNCG students through student employment, the EUC also houses programs and services that foster the development of an inclusive and diverse campus community. The EUC provides a secure and accessible physical environment for meetings, conferences, workshops, and staff development to students, faculty, staff, and the greater Greensboro community.
Position Summary
The Coordinator of Technical Services provides audio-visual and technology support for events in the Elliott University Center and other areas across the campus where the office of the Elliott University Center has responsibility. The position will work a majority schedule of evenings and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the positions’ role. Computer coursework may be substituted year for year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Journey level requires an additional six (6) months experience
- Advanced level requires an additional one (1) year of experience
Additional Required Certifications, Licensures, and Certificates
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from either an accredited Community College or four-year College or University and two years’ experience with audio-visual equipment.
- Good oral and written skills; ability to delegate and supervise event staff.
