Reporting to the VP, Chief Communications Officer, the Communications Specialist is a critical member of the Corporate Communications team and plays a key role assisting in the development and implementation of communications plans that advance the company’s reputation as a global innovation leader and inspire employees on the company’s purpose, strategy and employee value proposition.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the creation and execution of integrated communications plans addressing relevant internal and external audiences to help drive communications objectives.
  • Actively manage corporate internal and external channels, including company social media accounts and company intranet, ensuring timely distribution and posting and making recommendations based on analytics.
  • Involved in writing, formatting, proofreading, editing and approval process for required elements of the communications mix—including newsletters, internal posts, social media campaigns, PowerPoints, and videos.
  • Assist with internal and external event planning such as the CEO’s town halls and other cornerstone events.
  • Maintain enterprise editorial calendar and collaborate with functions, businesses and regions on timing, story-mining and integrated campaign tactics.
  • Organization and upkeep of library of digital assets and collateral (e.g., fact sheets, presentations, photos, biographies, distribution lists, templates and other shared resources).
  • Ensure correct implementation of all brand and design guidelines.
  • Implement excellent attention to detail with flexibility to reprioritize tasks to meet frequently evolving requirements.
  • Leverage existing and create new common tools, processes, practices aligned with relevant standards and policies to drive efficiencies across the communications team.
  • Other miscellaneous activities and/or ad-hoc requests as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in communications-related field, e.g., Public Relations, English, Journalism
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to accurately proofread and make appropriate corrections or recommendations
  • At least seven years of experience in employee communications, public relations, or relevant communications field
  • Exceptional project management and cross-functional team experience; highly organized and attention to detail is critical
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing/social media methodologies and related technologies
