POSITION OBJECTIVE
-
Operates a corrugator and related production operations including compression operations. The operator performs corrugator setup, with assistance.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-
Efficiently setup, adjust and operate two of the three corrugator styles (JCEM & AV) and related production operations including compression and without assistance does setups on the corrugator. Setup is in accordance to the PAC’s methods and procedures. Setup includes adjusting pleat height, blades, feed guides, loading of material, initial dry runs, verification of materials and first piece inspection.

Checks first piece and own work during operation and make adjustments to ensure logs/packs are corrugated to specifications.

Correctly complete DIR, material log sheet documentation and all other process documents,
-
Efficiently performs production assembly operations that could include setup and/or operation on simple machines or processes such as pack compressor.

Meets an acceptable production rate based on pre-established standards, while producing products that meet all quality, drawing and routing requirements.

As required, knows how to use the computer terminal to access and enter information and can efficiently use the information once accessed,

Recognize detailed quality deficiencies such as, looping, over compression, and broken wires,
-
Participate in KAIZEN events, Setup Reduction Program and identify ways to implement general cost savings.

Work under the direction of supervisors or more experienced personnel with little supervision.
-
Communicate ideas, problems, and concerns to management.
-
Perform other tasks as assigned.

Work overtime as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
-
High school diploma or equivalent. At least two years of complex production experience.
-
Proficient in basic shop math including decimals and fractions and US standard measuring system.
-
Understands diameters and radius.
-
Correctly uses basic measuring instruments such as micrometers, dial indicators and scale.
-
Knows how to proficiently uses basic hand tools.
-
Knows how to interpret drawings, routings, sketches and work orders. Knows when and how to adjust setup during operations.

Prior experience working with and mixing chemicals.
-
Must be able to correctly complete D.I.R.’s. and all required process document.
-
Has the ability to effectively communicate, understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
-
As required, knows how to use the computer terminal to access and enter production information and can efficiently use the information once accessed.

Must be able to work with solvents, oils, and other chemicals.
-
Mechanical assembly or construction experience preferred. Must work overtime as required.
-
Participate in a minimum of one (1) Kaizen event per year.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Bending, lifting, sitting, standing, and twisting for long periods of time
-
Required to lift a minimum of 30 pounds. Lifting requirement: Daily Light to Moderate Physical - frequently lifting or moving 5 to 25 pounds from three to six hours daily or frequently lifting or moving 30 pounds. Based on product being corrugated the weight will vary from very light- weight to heavy weight parts.

Continuous mental and visual attention is required. Diversified operations require constant alertness or activity.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

This position requires access to export-controlled commodities, technical data, technology, software, and services. U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required. Any offer of employment is contingent upon Pall obtaining the necessary employment visa and export authorization, including, if required, an export license from the applicable U.S. government agency.
