Courier Pay Optimization Analyst

Location: Open to Winnipeg, Toronto or Calgary (Hybrid Work Arrangement)

All about the role

As the Courier Pay Optimization Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Courier Pay Optimization team in developing a comprehensive approach to courier pay for our self-supporting contractor delivery model. You will be responsible for data and insights to drive short-term tactical changes and contributing analysis to support the long-term pay strategy. Working closely with various global functions, including markets, product, and data science teams, you will leverage analytics to enhance our courier pay and incentives. Your scope will be within shorter time horizons of a year or less, and you will collaborate closely with product and tech teams to improve courier pay, network performance, and customer and restaurant experience.

What’s On Your Plate:

  • Support key courier pay initiatives by providing data, insights and recommendations.

  • Deep dive into courier pay issues, tools or product features to find opportunities for improvement

  • Support with analysis of global market pay and review industry trends, providing insights to identify and pursue new opportunities and solutions.

  • Apply statistical modeling methods to assess the potential impact of courier pay strategies on profitability and evaluate their implementation.

  • Collaborate with product, tech and data science teams to contribute to the development of effective tools for overseeing and improving courier pay.

  • Communicate data insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders

Recipe for Success:

  • 3-5+ years’ experience in analytics or a related role

  • Logical analytical problem solver - able to spot trends and indicate the key drivers behind it. Support/develop comparative analysis and tests. Deliver actionable insights.

  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with complex data structures

  • Understanding of Github and Airflow considered an asset

  • Reasonable understanding of statistics

  • Visualization skills with Tableau (or similar), Google Sheets, Excel

  • Proactive, self-motivated and curious, ability to run with an idea

  • Work well under pressure and can balance multiple priorities

  • Great communication skills and able to explain data to various audience
