The Executive Media Director at Modifly is a visionary and results-driven agency veteran responsible for leading a team developing strategic plans and initiatives for Modifly clients. This role requires a deep understanding of business landscape trends with specific focus on media trends, as well as the ability to analyze market data and customer insights within strategic planning. The Executive Media Director is responsible for developing and executing key strategies for our clients, driving business growth and ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
To be successful in this role, the EMD has a strong background in strategic consulting, with experience in business strategy development, customer experience management, product development, marketing strategies, data analysis, and client management. They should possess excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

As a vital member of the Leadership Team, this position entails the following key responsibilities:- Business Development: Proactively drive the expansion of existing client relationships and identify new client opportunities to enhance overall business growth.
- Delivery Management: Ensure work is delivered on time and on budget.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards for deliverables, maintaining quality control both within your department and throughout cross-departmental collaborations.
- Resource Utilization: Manage and coach the Media Strategy team's utilization effectively, ensuring alignment with billable expectations to optimize productivity.
- Strategic Staffing: Spearhead productive organizational structure and staffing initiatives for clients and team members to meet project demands.
- Client Relationship Management: Foster positive and enduring relationships with select clients, serving as a key interface to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Team Capabilities Roadmaps: Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for growing team capabilities over time, while providing clear positioning and talk tracks for existing capabilities.
- Department Leadership: Drive the holistic development and success of the team by driving individual goals, providing appropriate performance feedback, orchestrating effective onboarding, and offering continuous support and mentorship to foster individual and collective growth within the team.
- Executive Presence: Exhibit thought leadership and actively engage in local communities to strengthen the organization's profile and influence. Exhibit executive gravitas, balance and poise.
- Internal Motivation: Drive internal motivation by cultivating a positive local culture, fostering strong relationships within the Modifly Leadership Team, and providing effective team leadership.
- Hands-on Collaboration: Utilizing a comprehensive working knowledge of the skills within the department. Demonstrate a strong commitment to the success of the team by being willing and capable of performing tasks at various levels whenever the situation demands.
- Budget Planning: Develop and oversee departmental budgets, aligning financial forecasts with strategic goals and ensuring resources are allocated effectively to meet project objectives.
- Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports to track the performance against the plan, providing insights and recommendations for financial adjustments where needed.
- Performance Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) related to financial management to monitor and evaluate the department’s financial health continuously.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with finance and other departmental leaders to ensure alignment in financial objectives and to share best practices in P&L management.
Executive Media Director-specific Responsibilities include:- Ensuring that every top client has an appropriate strategy for where they are going within their unique respective realm.
- Interface with Analyst Team on capabilities and thinking.
- Facilitate capabilities planning across Modifly.
- Quality communication with team and clients; thoughtful and prepared strategic ideas are shared to move the needle.
- Analyzing media market trends and data to identify emerging opportunities and threats, and developing strategies to capitalize on them.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field in a strategy or consulting capacity, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of success in developing and executing client marketing strategies, managing client relationships, and leading teams.
- A deep understanding of the business and consumer landscape, including trends, best practices, and emerging technologies is essential.
- Candidates should possess strong strategic thinking skills and be able to develop and execute comprehensive digital strategies that align with client objectives and drive business results.
- Strong leadership skills are essential for the EMD role. Candidates should be able to provide direction and guidance to cross-functional teams, set goals and objectives, and motivate team members to deliver high-quality work. They should be able to lead by example and create a positive, collaborative work environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Candidates should be able to effectively communicate complex digital marketing concepts and strategies to clients, team members, and other stakeholders. They should also be able to listen actively and provide feedback and guidance to team members.
- Candidates should have a strong understanding of business fundamentals, including financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation. They should be able to manage budgets and resources effectively and make strategic decisions that align with the agency's goals and objectives.
$170,000 - $210,000 a year
