Gains familiarity with Dispatcher methods, processes and practices.• With guidance, facilitates the transport of customer vehicles to and from auction site and other areas. Primary duties include:o Contacting customers to determine vehicle availability and condition,o Scheduling vehicle pick-up and delivery with customer and transporter,o Assisting with reconciliation of transporter related issues,o Notifying customer account representatives and transporter of vehicle transportation related issues,o Monitoring and reporting on customer and transporter performance.• Compiles vehicle transportation related data and generates routine reports.Performs all duties of a Dispatcher I, plus:o Coordinates transportation of vehicles by contacting carriers in the company’s established network.o Builds and maintain positive working relationships with network carriers.o Tracks shipment / delivery information, resolving problems as they arise; problems may include:• Missing vehicles,• Damaged vehicles,• Late arriving vehicles.o Escalates complex or difficult to solve issues according to established escalation procedures.o Ensures that all carrier drivers are properly insured and licensed to do over the road transports.• Assists with other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum• High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years’ experience in a related field• Requires strong knowledge of dispatching operations• Excellent organization & multitasking skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization• 1 year experience in either auto, transportation, logistics, or dispatching industriesPreferred• Degree in related discipline
