Manager, Program Management
This role leads a team of Program and Project Managers, ensuring Cro Metrics delivers at the highest quality and value across all services lines. This includes collaboration with sales for creating timely and effective scopes of work; championing new projects and expansions; interacting with clients in support of team members; working closely with individuals in support of their professional growth; and the execution of healthy and successful client programs.
What You'll Do:
- Act as the primary contact for 2-3 clients programs and leadership contact for the team’s client programs, generating an average of 45-50 billable hours/month:
- Foster a collaborative environment in support of programs as warranted by staff, client coverage, or escalated situations
- Oversee each aspect of leadership and activity for assigned Program and Project Managers.
- Manage team administration:
- Meet with direct reports weekly or bi-weekly
- Routinely provide check-ins on individual and team goals
- Ensure utilizations/client assigned hours are on target and remediating as needed to achieve utilization expectations
- Conduct bi-annual performance reviews
- Provide assistance and coaching with work tasks and challenges
- Guide interpersonal challenges amongst team members and clients
- Mentor team members in support of career objectives and opportunities
- Champion new hire 90-day onboarding process
- Build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships through teams' ongoing positive engagements and personalized service:
- Monitor the day-to-day progress of client programs, provide coaching and support to resolve client and/or delivery challenges
- Proactively work with financial forecasts, staff plans, and pacing to identify and resolve potential issues/gaps; facilitate solutions through collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., accounting, strategy, engineering, product).
- Exhibit leadership and team cohesion across all service lines, whether engaging with internal teams or external client interactions
- Shape and assess sales leads to accurately estimate the various service lines scopes of work (SOW).
- Create and/or review estimates, pitch decks, and SOWs to ensure that the budget, timeline, and scope align with feasibility assessments, resource capacity, and expertise:
- Collaborate with engineering resources to develop solutions architecture needs as a part of the project/engagement estimation process, including discovery of the client's existing technical stack and defining what services and systems are needed from a technical perspective in order to successfully build and launch the project based on the scope of work and translate recommendations back to client(s).
- Participate in Business Development activities when a program/project management subject matter expert (SME) is needed (e.g., client calls, documentation reviews, feasibility).
- Partner with SMEs across marketing and technical teams to identify expansion opportunities and lead the discovery and estimating scope of work for technically focused projects (e.g. Design and Build)
- Serve as first point of contact for Program Managers who identify an expansion opportunity with a client; provide direction in taking initial steps to proactively begin sales process, both internally and externally
- Work cross-functionally to standardize processes for estimating and scoping across all services
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in team dynamics, delivery processes, and priorities in support of departmental and/or company objectives:
- Proactively identify gaps and recommend solutions to operational processes and tooling
- Champion improvements which impact both Program Managers and cross-functional Cro Metrics teams
- Establish rapport and collectively-problem solve with leadership and stakeholders to ensure new and refined processes will be successful upon rollout
- Collaborate with Strategy and Delivery leadership teams and individual contributors to ensure client programs and cross-team processes are executed successfully.
- Lead the interview and hiring process for the Program Management team, including screening, and selecting top candidates:
- Review resumes and conduct candidate screenings to evaluate fit and alignment with role requirements.
- Serve as a mentor for Program Manager candidates, providing guidance and support throughout the interview process.
- Evaluate candidate deliverables, providing constructive feedback on their performance and outputs.
- Meet with candidates to offer detailed feedback on screenings and deliverables, helping them prepare for final interviews.
- Organize and facilitate the final interview, ensuring a smooth and professional process.
What You’ll Need:
- Experience executing on strategic roadmaps that optimize the customer journey, including A/B Testing, Paid Media Management and Lifecycle Marketing
- Experience employing project management methodologies (agile, scrum) in managing multiple web development projects simultaneously
- Ability to collaborate across technical and business-oriented stakeholders
- Experience in driving profitability of work through proper estimation, client expectations and scope management
- Experience managing direct reports
- Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple internal stakeholders, effectively influencing others to get projects to completion. Successfully delegates and communicates tasks.

Compensation: $85 - $110k annual compensation + benefits
