Job Description

Crown is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator to support the Test & Evaluation team with Verizon. You will work alongside other Test & Engineer team members to plan and support FENS formal T&E at FAA T&E facilities (e.g., WJHTC, MMAC). 

  • Working alongside the Sr. Systems Administrator to develop processes and plans for testing servers and virtualized applications
  • Conducting system design activities involving servers, network devices, virtualized operating systems, and applications
  • Install servers and applications within the lab testbed to support critical safety functionality and security framework
  • Closely monitoring system and server performance
  • Keeping up to date with new application features and enhancements; working with test engineers to plan and test new systems and functions within the lab environment
  • Participate in active network discussions and solutions

We are seeking candidates in New Jersey as the work will be performed at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must be able to obtain Public Trust (PT). A current PT is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Must have 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to analyze a process and provide improvement recommendations
  • Knowledge of database and SQL environments
  • Ability to plan and implement virtualized server environments, configure VMWare, Windows, and Redhat Enterprise operating systems, and install various specialized hosted applications
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions
  • Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods
