Job Description

We are looking for a Planning Analytics Developer to join our Finance function to help us accelerate the enhancement of financial reporting capabilities.

What is this role about?

In this newly created role, you will work within a dynamic finance team at the forefront of driving change, uplifiting our finance systems. You will develop Cuscal’s IBM Planning Analytics environment, including new projects and initiatives, ensuring system optimisation and availability. You’ll support and maintain existing IBM Planning Analytics models, (including changes & enhancements) and development, testing, implementation and change management of new functionality.
Here's more of what you’ll work on:

  • Provide technical guidance regarding the IBM Planning Analytics environment development roadmap for Finance.
  • Responsible for ongoing IBM Planning Analytics development to meet reporting requirements (including self-service/web reporting).
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of relevant budgeting and rolling forecast processes in IBM Planning Analytics.
  • Upskilling and training wider team on IBM Planning Analytics.
  • Development of end user training guides and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical support, training and guidance to end-users and other staff.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Technology Solutions to ensure we are up to date with their latest requirements.

Qualifications

What can you bring?

  • Experience: Designing, developing, implementing and improving IBM Planning Analytics (PA) models
  • IBM Planning Analytics support and optimisation in line with global best practices. 
  • PA Cube & Dimension Design, Development & Optimisation
  • Turbo Integrator Principles (Queries, Parameters, Data/Metadata, Parallel/Sequential Processing)
  • Ability to write Rules in PA for data calculations
  • Ability to read and write/modify MDX functionality.
  • Create and modify PA Dimensions, Hierarchies & Attributes
  • PA User Interfaces- MS Excel (Quick/Dynamic/Custom reports)
  • Advanced understanding of PA data spreading functions

Although not required, any experience in the following would be highly regarded:

  • Experience with SQL and ODBC integration
  • Experience with Apliqo UX (by Cubewise)
  • Experience with Pulse (by Cubewise)
