ROLE DEFINITION

As a Customer Service Representative, you will support the sales team by performing customer service activities and account management functions. You will assist the sales team to proactively grow sales by providing outstanding service and developing client relationships and internal networks. By building successful relationships, the CSS aligns multiple internal resources and capabilities toward the goal of zero-defect customer satisfaction.

This position works on the day shift, M-F with occasional overtime and weekend work if needed.

This is a hybrid work position based at our site in Auburn Hills, MI.

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:

  • Responsible for multiple SAP transactions as well as the transfer of all purchase orders and other relevant information pertaining to the order into SAP
  • Build working relationships with commercial team partners to exceed customer expectations
  • Work with Asset Schedulers and other supply chain partners to assess and resolve material availability, supply issues, order management and prioritization
  • Engage sales team on customer issues and requests, pricing, and approvals, followed by necessary actions to resolve
  • Provide timely responses for all control & audit requests, including month-end order to cash processes


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ previous customer service experience with emphasis on sales to cash
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3 or another ERP system required
  • Intermediate to advanced level Microsoft Office proficiency required (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint); SalesForce.com experience is a plus
