Senior Triage Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Triage Operations Manager within the Cyber Defense team will be responsible for continuously monitoring the day-to-day operations of the third shift Triage team, and maintaining operational readiness regarding every aspect of Triage operations. The Manager will work across the CVS enterprise with relevant stakeholders to drive improvement opportunities along with maturing the Triage operations program. The Manager will work directly with the Executive Director of Detection and Response on defining strategic direction of security operations while leading those strategic projects and initiatives. The Manager will consult will various stakeholders to define various reports and metrics that support Triage operations that support informed decision making. The Manager will leverage their expertise to help mentor and educate colleagues related to security operations and opportunities for improvement. 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Third Shift (overnight) Triage (SOC) team and operations
  • Manage, Mentor and Coach individual contributors 
  • Lead various security and technical projects and initiatives on behalf of Triage Operations including defining scope, work breakdown structure, meeting cadence impacting Cyber Defense and related stakeholder teams 
  • Own, create and maintain SOC operational metrics, reports and dashboards
  • Collaborate with EIS partners and stakeholder as well as Cyber Defense team and leadership to identify operational improvement 
  • Investigative analysis of cyber security events alerted in SIEM and SOAR
  • Identify, create, and maintain SOC operational documentation (SOP’s, QA, audit & compliance needs, etc.) 


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years proven experience in a Cybersecurity Operations role
  • 3+ years in a Cybersecurity Managerial or Supervisory position
  • 3+ years in a Security Operations Center, Incident Response, and/or Security Monitoring environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with common cybersecurity frameworks and standards
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficient in analyzing operational data and creating visualizations and reports 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (High School Diploma and 4 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$142,140.00 - $284,280.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
