Summary:
Participates in all phases of the Capacity Management Patient Flow system. Performs the job functions at a standard that reflects excellence in organizational and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
1. Monitors and coordinates activities that impact patient flow within the capacity management system. (Primarily EVS room turn-around time and patient transport)
2. Identifies and escalates to appropriate leader's patient flow disruptions, delays, or barriers.
3. Collaborates with nursing supervisors to determine priority of transportation job or assign transport employee as directed by nursing supervisor.
4. Collaborates with units to ensure proper distribution of equipment.
5. Collaborates with units to ensure room readiness.
6. Collaborates with Nursing and EVS supervisor to help determine priority of custodial service list.
7. Collects and distributes weekly reports as directed by manager.
8. Reports all incidents, irregularities, unsafe conditions, equipment, and/or unusual occurrences to management immediately.
9. Assumes responsibility for developing and maintaining an environment which supports excellent service behaviors so that Vassar Brothers Medical Center is known for service excellence.
10. Maintain and Model Nuvance Health Values.
11. Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
12. Performs other duties as required.

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity
Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
