CS Operations provides support, processes, and tools to enable Apptio’s Support team
to provide our customers with timely, high quality support that meets or exceeds their
expectations and helps them be successful with Apptio’s products Our business is

primarily focuses on the Support function but also has responsibilities that contribute to
the Customer Success team as well
Responsibilities:
- Tableau (additional BI tools would be beneficial) Design and build new custom
Tableau dashboards to meet customer requirements A creative approach will be
required for some projects, where a detailed understanding of Tableau would be a key
advantage -
Reporting and data analysis of varying levels of complexity using MS Excel, Tableau
and other data analysis and reporting tools -
End to end development Take ownership of the technical delivery of custom
analytic projects -
Portal delivery work with our internal technology teams to embed Tableau
dashboards into the custom portal and provide the required functionality -
Translate the findings of the analyses into professional dashboards or PowerPoint
presentations that are appropriate for C level audiences and other stakeholders -
Work with the Support and Customer Success teams to design and rollout, facilitate,
track and administer support and customer success processes or other improvements
that will enable the team to more effectively or more efficiently serve our customers
Qualifications:
Key skills
Intermediate/advanced Tableau and Tableau Server experience-
Advanced SQL skills and experience with operational reporting systems, data
warehouse systems, and dashboards. -
Understanding and ability to manipulate and join multiple diverse datasets
-
Experience in connecting and working with different types of data sources, for
example, SQL and APIs -
Experience and comfortable interfacing directly with customers to support sales and
opportunity evaluation -
Ability to work in an agile environment whilst working with customers to deliver the
final solution.
Basic Qualifications
3 - 5 years working as a Tableau analyst in a professional organization with Tableau
certification level of “Certified Associate” or higher-
Advanced data analysis and MS Excel skills as evidenced by the ability to analyze data
and create complex, customized pivot tables and charts, automatically merge multiple
data sets, use lookups, familiarity with array formulas, develop and debug complex
formulas -
Bachelor’s degree in Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Accounting or Business
Administration or another degree of similar coursework
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a software support organization, including familiarity
with standard software support metrics and processes-
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers in a variety of roles and levels and
using a variety of tools, such as MS Outlook, PowerPoint and Word -
Strong attention to detail and track record of accurate reporting and analysis

time zones.
