The Team:

Technical Solutions are Datadog's in-house product experts. The Technical Solutions team enables Datadog's worldwide growth by educating potential clients and ensuring that existing customers are happy and successful. Technical Solutions is a growing global team that collaborates constantly to share knowledge and continuously advance our technical skillset.

The Opportunity:

As a Data Analyst part for the Technical Solutions (TS) department, you will help Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, and Technical Post Sales be data driven in their day to day work in order for them to offer a first-class support experience for all Datadog customers. As part of this, you will overhaul all processes requiring data and analytics, and help initiate data-driven change.

You will be part of the internal Solutions Operations team and will join a broader Data Analyst community across the company and have the opportunity to grow and use cutting edge analytics tools.

You Will:

• Build actionable data reports and visualizations that will help the TS Leadership and the Solutions Operations teams, and facilitate data-driven strategic decision making
• Build actionable, well documented, and easy-to-use data models with dbt
• Run deep data analyses and investigations
• Present findings to team leads and executives
• Train other employees to use data to answer questions without assistance

You Are:

• A Data Analyst with 2+ years of experience and have mastered data analysis and visualization using Business Intelligence tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau
• Fluent in writing analytical SQL, are able to write complex queries with no assistance, and understand the difference between SQL that works and performant SQL
• A clear, concise communicator that works well with others
• Able to explain complex datasets or queries to non-technical people in understandable ways
• Curious and have an investigative mindset - driven to know “why”
• Experienced in working with large customer and product data
• Interested in working closely with Technical Solutions and learning how they provide first-class support to their users around the world

Bonus Points:

• You have experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery
• You have experience working with APIs and a programming language such as Python
• You’ve worked with or within a Technical Solutions department in the past!
