Data Engineer (Remote)

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team at Prominent Edge. We are a small company of 24+ developers and designers who put themselves in the shoes of our customers and make sure we deliver strong solutions. Responsibilities:

- Create search and automation capability to enable geospatial analysis of ca variety of data types and data sources.

- Develop tools using a range of scripting/programming languages for real world challenges

- Understand high level operational/geospatial processes.

Minimum requirements:

- US Citizenship

- Active TS/SCI clearance

- Strong mathematical and data science experience

- BS/BA in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Engineering.; 4 years of experience can replace degree.

- 3 to 10 years of technical experience programming with Java, geospatial analysis, design, and/or application development.

- 3 or more years of experience performing ETL, data extraction, manipulation, and visualization using any programming or scientific languages

- Modeling and machine learning advanced feature engineering; SQL experience; Deploying and validating models in production; Scaling models for large data sets; Docker

- 3 or more years of presenting findings from statistical/ML methods through written and verbal communication.

- Experience with Python - pandas, numpy, scikit-learn; Anaconda, Jupyter notebooks

- Detailed experience with open source frameworks for Neural Network architectures including Keras, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Caffe; Detailed experience and understanding of Machine Learning methods and frameworks including ensemble methods

- Experience implementing various types of Neural Networks including Convolutional Neural Networks and/or Recurrent Neural Networks

- Able to work with a distributed team

- Effective communications skills

Desired qualifications:

- Familiar with GIS tools

- Spark, Hadoop, Hive

- Experience working on federal gov efforts

- Military/intelligence analyst experience

- Airspace domain experience
